From Mike, Dawn, Sammy, Chelsey & Amanda Husnick!

About five years ago, God placed it on Mike’s heart to adopt a boy from China! We began to pray in faith and watched the Lord move many mountains!

On September 19^th, 2005 we adopted Samson Shunzi Husnick from a special needs orphanage in central China. During that season, Mike and I both felt Jesus pressing us into an even greater faith journey.

Over the last few years, we have sensed God calling us to leave our jobs in the Market place, and let go of everything we have to follow Him into cross cultural ministry.

God placed within our hearts an intense burden for the lost, poor, and orphaned children of Asia. Six months ago, we shared this burden with the mission’s board at our church (Glen Ellyn Bible Church), sold our house, moved into a rental, and started to pray for God’s clear direction.

Last spring, we were accepted with TEAM (The Evangelical Alliance Mission) and we are working hard to finish our Missions/Bible Studies training.

In September 2007, we took a vision trip to visit the TEAM ministries in Taiwan and we fell in love with the people as we walked their quaint & friendly neighborhoods and alley-ways.            

After much prayer and confirmation, we have been officially appointed to TEAM~Taiwan!!!!

As we continue to move forward in faith, we would like to take this opportunity to share the vision God has put in our hearts!
